Creative exercises include:

  • manipulating depth of field to produce technically correct and impactful images.

Participants are introduced to the basics of digital workflow and use imaging software to organize and present their electronic images.

Second time participants attending an intermediate camp refine their technical skills and incorporate rules of composition, elements of design, light, colour and tonal harmony to create a series of impactful images. Postproduction assignments include creating digital mats and developing an electronic portfolio useful for a variety of creative purposes.

Third time participants attending the advanced camp discover the capabilities of portable electronic flash and learn to calibrate available, ambient and flash exposure. Creative exercises include freeze motion with flash and combining natural and artificial light sources to achieve cool effects. Advanced participants also learn to use studio lighting systems and light meters to configure high and low key lighting scenarios to photograph products and portraits.
